Me and Alexander
Education: I have a Master's degree in history from CSU, Fresno California. My area of study was Western Civilization, perhaps Alexander the Great being my favorite. I have always been fascinated by the ancient world, particularly Greece and Rome. Maybe it's the costumes or the mythology...
Family: I have two grown children and one grandson and one granddaughter. My pets are two labs, the one pictured with me is my constant companion, Alexander. The other is a Cole, a big loveable dog. I also have a cat who thinks he's a dog.
Geography: I went to James Campbell High School in Ewa Beach, Hawaii when my dad was in the Navy. I then moved to California where I spent some time in San Diego. Now, I live in the Central Valley. I am still in love with my high school sweetheart.
Working Life: I have been an English/History teacher for most of my life. I have been teaching Literacy, Theater, and History in high school for the last six years. I think I will always teach; high school kids are pretty amazing.
Writing: I wrote and produced two full length plays; one based on the Odyssey and the other based on the original Little Mermaid. I suppose these pieces are what made me begin to write novels grounded in mythology and fairytales. Currently, I'm working on several projects: #1. YA Novel called Invisible Wings about a teenaged angel who can hear the thoughts of her classmates. #2. A YA series about the Trojan War #3. The Dragons of Elysia.
